Are You Ready To Rock?
At For Those about to Rock School we offer guitar, bass, drums,
piano and vocal lessons, but we don't teach the traditional way.
We have our students tell us which songs that they would like to
learn and we begin by teaching simplified parts of those songs. We
try to eliminate the frustration involved when you first learn an
instrument and keep the experience fun. We understand that every
student is different and that there is more than one way to learn
how to rock! Some students may feel more comfortable learning
by ear, some students may need a more academic approach, and some
students may need a combination of both. Since 2003, For Those
About To Rock School’s owner, Mike Mroz, has selected a versatile
staff or highly respected professional musicians that will meet the
needs of each individual student.
Each new student is evaluated to determine the elements that will
greatly contribute to their success and ensure that they are placed
with the instructor that best suites their needs. As a result,
each student feels like an active participant in setting their
goals, selecting their music and become more invested in their
learning process.
FTATR school realizes that not everything can be learned in “the
classroom” and that students need the experience of “learning by
doing” ! In addition to weekly private lessons, we have
several performance programs that offer students performance
opportunities at real rock venues such as The House Of Blues,
Sambuca 360, Maximedia Studios, as well as high profile events at
Grapefest, Southlake Town Square and Main Street Days!

Pick Your Poison...
For a monthly fee of $159, our program includes thirty minutes of private lessons per week. When a student becomes comfortable with their instrument we will invite them to join our band program to perform in our quarterly concerts. Our band program is the best because we take the time to form our students into bands based on their ability, age, and musical tastes. We do not just have have a bunch of students show up and throw them into bands. We want to give our students the opportunity to perform the material they've been practicing in front of a live audience at some of DFW's top clubs. Venues include the House of Blues, Sambuca 360, Grapevine Palace Theater, Main Street Days, Ft Worth Rodeo, Grapefest, Southlake Town Square evnts and Maximedia Studios.
Our instructors are some of DFW's top musicians, including members from Back in Black, Polyphonic Spree, Tripping Daisy, The Rocket Summer and Hagfish.
